Fragrance Cocktails

The Scentual Living by Design is a lifestyle brand that sells a fragrance first and a product second. Fragrance evoking photography and colors were essential to the brand look. Each fragrance option was assigned a bold color for recognition and a flavor palette. Photography for the website featured fragrance cocktails. Each “flavor” of the cocktail was depicted in a special glass that was overflowing with the ingredients of each blend.

The fragrance photography was designed to depict each fragrance as delicious. This brand had 3 collections - “Everyday”, “Holiday” and “Essential Oil”. The essential oils had a one-note line and a special essential oil collection based on affirmations like “You are Loved” and “You Are Calm”.

The website was designed around these collections. A series of sketches were done to define each collection, page and fragrance of depiction. A basic wirframe was drawn of each page to understand the content and page flow and site plan.

The fragrance page features the 3 collections depicted with their main ingredients, the oil bottle and a Scent Slice. Each fragrance note was included along with a short description of the fragrance experience. The lotus callout graphic is lifted from the brand pattern.

Scent Slices & Dazzle Drops

Scent Slices are patterned, circular fragrance loads that inconspicuously fit inside many of our products. Dazzle Drops are adorable fragrancers that fit in products or potpourri. They are both easily replace wax in wax warmers. They were advertised to be irresistible, scrumptious, easy to clean fragrancers that are “no muss, no fuss”. I designed my photoshoot to combine the products, their fragrance ingredients and our packaging designs to create fun, geometric patterns.

Original logo for the brand. The design was hard to print on any color besides white. The words and logo image got in each others way. Client requested the font remain unchanged.

Logo Re-Design

The design selected by the customer. It elaborated on the original lotus (see below) to create an image that also worked on many colors.

The logo was used as venting on products in the line.

The logo was re-designed to be easier to read and more unique. The company requested the same gold ombre and font and to retain the feeling of the original lotus.

The brand packaging centered around a lotus pattern and the fragrance color. The goal was to make the packaging as sustainable as possible while still preserving the fragrance and staying under budget.
